My students come from very low income homes. Many live with a single parent, grand parents, or are in state care. They often lack the bare essentials such as nutritious food, proper clothing, and supplies. Honestly, I was a bit nervous to come to a school that I had heard had such "bad kids", but these are NOT bad kids. They are just kids. They deserve the same opportunity's in life as every other child. I'm really happy that I came to this school now. It's awesome to be among kids who are here because they WANT to be here. They WANT to learn. They participate, exceed expectations, and are excited to learn.
