We will shape what it means to have a class text. The iBooks that we can create on this new Mac will be able to incorporate the individual multimedia experience so crucial to teaching this generation of students. It will ensure that as the economics course grows, so will the content and context accessible to the student through this living document. It will allow for student interface and input in creative new ways that capture every learner and raise the bar for an entire academic population. It will allow us to create a shared virtual workspace that is collaborative, reciprocal and productive. This tool represents the ability to plug into an ever-changing society, a rapidly evolving classroom environment, and stream knowledge, compassion, understanding, ambition, and change to and from a more connected world. Reaching one student with an engaging lesson when he or she is on the brink giving up can inspire a lifetime of learning and several lives worth of unimaginable impact. With this one tool we can reach hundreds every year!
