My students will be taking an AP Biology class, which requires 25% of the class to be in a lab setting. Providing an extra notebook for their class will prepare them to have a lab notebook and to take clear and concise notes during their labs. The calculators also provide them with the assistance they need for the statistical analysis they need throughout their labs. Some of the labs they will be performing are diffusion and osmosis labs, the photosynthesis lab, and the animal behavior lab. Although the supplies seem minimal in others' eyes, these few materials will provide them with the assistance they need in the class. Using these materials, the students will learn to use the calculator for chi-square math analysis and other statistical analyses.
