Our students lack opportunities for creativity mainly due to limited resources available to their rural, low- income community. With a 67% free and reduced lunch population, our students could benefit from this type of project. Our students are hard-working, eager to learn, inquisitive, and would love to experiment with this type of creative space. The high school is small with about 400 9-12th graders located in the shadows of the Appalachian Mountains.
