My students are sweet and very bright. They are energetic and absolutely love learning new things. They are all four or five years old and this is their first educational experience. My school is a low economic status school in the center of our town which aims to help students thrive academically and personally. Our ethnic backgrounds vary drastically in our diverse area with the population of students being 71.6% African American, 10% Hispanic, 15% White, 2.7% Native American, 0.7% Asian. The students that attend my school are in need of a great atmosphere to walk into each day and luckily our staff provides that day in and day out. Some of our students home lives are not the best and school is the only place that is a positive environment that focuses its attention on them. Without our school in this area, these students would fail to become the best they can be!
