I teach Pre-K students at a school with 97% poverty. Many of my students don't experience much else outside their apartments or homes. Despite many of their hardships outside of school, these students wear a smile and are ready to learn! I want to build upon that and open their minds to the world and possibilities beyond their front door. I want to show them they can rise above, and I want them to have the confidence to try new things. My hopes are they will seek out challenges as they go through life, perhaps in science or math, because of exposure and interaction with projects such as this.

About my class
