Our art room, located in the basement of a 100+ year old brick building, serves more than 700 students every week. For many children there are no scissors or markers at home; this is their only outlet or chance to try out creative materials. Each week they enter, excited, to find out what we would be doing that day. With 700 students cycling through the room each week, supplies are used up quickly. It is heartbreaking to only be able to provide donated crayons from our local kind ice cream store (limited colors), or dried out markers. Our students deserve crayons and markers of all colors that work!

About my class
