I believe that children are the building blocks of society and that every child, regardless of socioeconomic status should have the opportunity to engage in music activities. My vision is to create an avenue for these children to explore and express their gifts by giving them a chance to produce and publish their work. The school has limited resources, and funds are not available to purchase the instruments needed to assist these students in producing their work. Having a laptop with adequate RAM and MB will allow the students' projects and original work to be recorded and published. I am seeking help to purchase this laptop that I believe will make a difference in my teaching, and the students' learning experiences. At the school, I do more than just teaching the elements of music. I also utilize the instruments that are available to me in order to provide an hands-on experience where my students are training and learning the techniques and musical skills to compose their original music.
