Our Title I school is unique in that our students come from vastly different economic backgrounds. Our students that are at risk have responded very well to playing snare drum and marching. We have a parade of story book characters in late October and a winter concert in December. I would like them to be able to march with real drums, play real sleigh bells and woodblocks at our concert and be able to start a drum line with weekly rehearsals. Our kids deserve this and it will bring some genuine smiles to some very deserving kids!
