United for Success Academy is a Title 1 school and we have many students who receive free lunch. My students don't often get to participate in large scale art projects and without the proper funding it is extremely hard to provide learning experiences like these. A large part of our student body is affected by PTSD due to their environments and the opportunity to express themselves visually can provide a great way for the students to share and cope with their feelings. My students are talented, hard working, and very much deserve the opportunity to be involved in such an engaging and unique artistic experience.

About my class
