My amazing students have been working incredibly hard during this pandemic. It requires 6-7 year olds to be on Zoom meetings, print out materials, spend time on online apps and meet with their teacher on a daily basis. I am teaching 24 first graders from home. That means I am making daily plans and then sending them out to parents to follow on Google Docs. These plans have hyperlinks, videos and printable assignments. Not only that, but we are also meeting several hours a week on Zoom doing reading lessons, math check ins and assessments. My older laptop is not working 100% of the time. This is extremely frustrating when trying to make this transition as smooth as possible for my students. The new MacBook Air will help relieve the stress of not knowing if a lesson will go through or a Zoom meeting may be cut short.
