Being split to two schools, it is difficult to keep momentum high in both, but my students make the transition easy when they come in happy and eager to learn. I have many students that expressed interest in playing instruments but I did not have enough equipment, so I had to turn a lot of them down. For one of my schools, band was cut many years ago, and there were no instruments, so I had to find instruments to bring over. By adding new instruments, our concerts will sound better, and my students will be able to develop their musicianship by learning to play. It will also allow more students to play in our ensembles, and possibly begin new ensembles in the future.
