With the use of Chromebooks in my classroom my diverse students will be given a motivational tool that makes reading and learning fun. Most of my students do not have access to technology at home so these Chromebooks will help them become 21st century learners. In our classroom students choose what they read. Being able to read about topics that interest them at their reading level will open a whole new world to them. My students are reading below grade level. The more exposure to text at their level will increase their reading ability. Having Chromebooks will give my kids access to websites such as Newsela, RAZkids and Readworks all web sights that level text for students. I have a subscription to Action Magazine and with chrome books my students could access the online tools. My students also would be able to use the web sight Easycbm which will help me progress monitor their growth. Chromebooks could open a whole new world for my student not to mention motivate them to read more!
