I teach Science to 6th-8th grade students in Henrico, VA. Many of the concepts are very abstract and require higher level thinking for complete understanding. I have students on a wide variety of learning levels and with a wide variety of specific needs and talents. Many of my students are fast learners and desire to be challenged, while I also have some that need the material to be broken down on a more concrete level. I strive to provide as much hands-on, inquiry based and investigative activities for my students to not only give them the challenge they desire but also create a meaningful learning experience and help engage every learner in my classroom. My goal as an educator is to ensure I am creating a learning environment that will allow me to reach each and every student in my classroom.
