I teach in an economically strapped, underfunded school that has been moved around for three years. We don't even have our own floor in a building! The classroom has broken shelves and one beat up abused chalkboard. I teach English to multiple skill level students who are eager to learn and succeed. We are an all girls school that promises an academically rigorous education that will prepare them to succeed in college and in a professional career. These inner city girls have been overlooked and undereducated for years. Now that they are in this school we need to give them the help they need to catch up to their cohorts and pass them. They will have to strive for academic excellence in order to get those scholarships to colleges that will help them prepare for their chosen careers. Academic equity is their right. Thank you for all of your support in helping our scholars to achieve success. We are very grateful
