Thinking and Feedback time, which occurs after learning centers, is a time where we come together as a community to share work and support one another in our learning journey. This is a great language opportunity for our many ELL students who are working on developing their oral language skills and vocabulary. Students practice asking and answering questions about their work and describe what they see in detail. The iPad mini 2, would allow both myself and the students to video or photograph work that is in process and the Magnasonic projector would display images to optimize our feedback sessions. The larger images from the projector display would make it easier for students to see, so that they are more engaged. The visuals are also important for helping students use and understand focus vocabulary words. Students would be able to watch the skits of their peers in the drama center and that might inspire others in the group the following day to be similar characters. Or we may engage in a conversation about a group science experiment after watching a video and reflect on what went well and what needs to be changed. The iPad mini 2 and projector will also be integral for starting off centers the following day. We will be able to view the documentation and remind students of the feedback offered, so that it can be used to improve or continue the previous day's work.
