My students are second graders and they are all native Spanish speakers. Many of them are economically disadvantaged. However, despite the fact that they are learning in two languages and have other struggles at home, they come to school with smiles on their faces and eager to learn. They are extremely motivated and bright students that just need the support and resources that we can offer them at school to be successful.
