Our school is a newly built high school in the Judson ISD District in San Antonio, Texas. It is the smallest school of three high schools; however, the population of students continues to grow substantially. The students are apart of a unique experience because they will be the school's very first graduating classes. Although some of them understand the importance of leaving a legacy behind, many are struggling to find the resources needed to be successful in their classes. The difficulties my students face at home make it harder for them to imagine the significant goal of graduation. I believe the students at Veterans Memorial can be successful with the use of quality resources such as technology, supplies, and effective teachers. I want to be someone in my students' lives who smiles at them each day, and brings them support and encouragement to achieve their goals.
