When do preschool students learn the most? During play time! Students are practicing social skills, working on math concepts, literacy, and how to interact appropriately in the learning environment. One area of the classroom that provides the most enriching opportunity to practice those skills is the dramatic play area. The area in my particular classroom that’s is lacking materials is also the dramatic play area. With the materials I am requesting, I will be able to set up a camping theme throughout the classroom where students can interact with one another, read books, practice math concepts while “cooking over the fire” and so much more. I’ve included camping and fishing books, woodland creatures, art supplies and blocks. There are two camping chairs included in my materials request. These will be a fun place to sit while making s’mores over the fire but also a nice place to relax with a book! Thank you so much for taking time to read about my project!
