My students are severe (mostly) to moderate life skills students with various forms of disabilities (autism, medically fragile (wheel chairs), intellectual disabilities, downs syndrome, cerebral palsy, behavior, etc.). I am always overjoyed to see their zest for learning. Although they suffer from disabilities, they know my expectations, and will work tirelessly to ensure that they complete their assignments. My school is very supportive, and the best district I have ever worked for, however, I am in need of supplies that will allow me to better work with my students, and customize their lessons. Each student has different goals, and there is no one lesson fits all. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge, but I am in need of supplies that are more specific to special needs. I feel I am making a huge difference in my students lives. I offer them a safe, loving and nurturing environment to ensure that their learning experience is a great one, and one that will help them as they grow.
