My classroom is made up of English Language Learners. They are expected to meet high academic standards in two languages. The areas that need the most improvement for my students are reading and writing. Most of my students receive free meals at school. My students are seven to eight years old, but they have already experienced the negative effects of poverty and family dysfunction. I would love nothing more than to make school a positive experience, while helping them to achieve their dreams.
