Students range in grades from 9-12 and are on a block schedule. Our school has approximately 1850 students and has a growing engineering program. Students like the hands-on projects. In the past students have invented solutions to problems, gaining local recognition for their effort. After school I coach FIRST Tech Challenge, a world-wide robotics program started by inventor Dean Kamen. I also coach FIRST Robotics Competition as part of our CAPSTONE. In June 2016, I led 7 students to teach robotics and STEM in Kenya. The summer of 2018, I will be leading a group of 15 students on a Youth Exchange to Germany, there the students will focus on STEM related activities.
