The Covid-19 pandemic is taking a toll on many of us. Unfortunately, the affect on some if not all of our K-2 students isn't always noticeable. Then, there are students who normally find it difficult to self regulate. Research suggests the best approach to assisting students during this difficult time is to have a safe sensory room with a variety of items to calm, stimulate and provide movement. Its my hope to create a sensory room at our school to be available to any K-2 students needing a safe stimulating and relaxing environment.
