My students are loving literacy this year! Each day we spend ample time discussing literature and the reasons that readers and writers make the choices they make in their work. We are fortunate to have a beautiful rug to sit on together and learn, however it is challenging to model excellent practices and create anchor charts without a dry erase easel close to our carpet. Currently most of our learning is done away from our rug at our desks, as they face the only usable whiteboard in our room. This easel would change our daily learning by enhancing our community and allowing the students an interactive learning experience. With you're donation, we would be able to create student generated anchor charts, and record our learning while sitting as a community. This easel would allow us more time on the rug, and as a result student engagement will increase. When we learn together on the rug, I notice students are more engaged, and collaborate more closely with their peers. Your donation would not only provide me the opportunity to model excellent literary practices, but will tighten our sense of community around great literature.
