I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hope to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence. When new readers enjoy books, it helps create a relationship between student and literature. Fostering this important relationship while they are young impacts their educational career. I want my students to enjoy books and look forward to reading exciting stories and articles. It is also very important that the students hear good examples of fluent reading. I am asking for thirty privacy partitions, a set of dot painters, a set of My First Informational Text Read-Alongs, a set of I Can Read Read-alongs, a set of My First I Can Read Read-alongs so that can create centers where my students they can listen to exciting stories and informational texts.
