My students who receive speech therapy are between the grades of kindergarten to 3rd grade. They possess a wide range of speech and language impairments, which require LOTS of practice in all environments. Although they LOVE coming to speech class, our (and their) ultimate goal is for them to be able to communicate effectively with their family, teachers, and peers with minimal support. Our school is very student centered! Our administrative staff, as well as general education teachers, work very closely with our special education team to ensure a student is generalizing skills being taught in resource settings.
