With the use of a small group set of tablets and headphones, my students will be able to receive additional support in their native languages. Since each student comes from a home that does not speak English as their primary language, the instruction they receive in the general education classroom does not support their personal needs. These tablets will enable me to use programs tailored to their learning needs. The programs will allow students to read, type, hear and speak in English while supporting the advancement of their native languages. Coming from poverty these students do not have access to educational technology at home. With these tablets, I can bridge the gap between learning and language.
