I teach at a public charter school that has the primary objective of preparing students to be college ready. However, because many of my students live beneath the poverty line, a majority of their families cannot purchase necessary items needed to successfully complete course requirements. And a significant lack my students have is access to a computer or laptop. This greatly affects how academically successful many of my students can be in my social studies world history course. But, I believe the introduction of new resources, such as an ASUS Chromebook, can change this.
