Show Me Proof! I am bringing my 2nd graders to the Bronx Zoo this June. My students have been involved in a special Science and Math program this year and this is our end of the year trip. Inquiry learning has been a major method of learning/teaching this year. Our final trip will include a major project using many inquiry skills. Many of these children, have for the first time ever, been to museums, farms, planetariums, and environmental centers this year. They have learned to "think" about the world in new ways. The opportunities for a child from our school are not vast. I want to offer them as many views of opportunity as I can. I want them to REMEMBER how it feels to be productive and successful. They will work for what they WANT now and in the future.
