The materials requested for this project will be used in my classroom to introduce a real world social studies experience. It is important for students to be well versed in current events in order to become responsible citizens. Using resources like Junior Scholastic magazine will help students learn about the events going on in the world around them. Classroom magazines are a great tool to incorporate literacy standards with social studies content in an appropriate way for the age and grade level. With all the events going on in our world today, students will be able to see first hand history in the making!
