When this project is funded, I will incorporate interactive cooking lessons with my students every week. They will learn life-long skills that will remain with them long after our school year is over. "There is no love sincerer than the love of food." This quote by George Bernard Shaw shows how food impacts us emotionally as well as physically. The important skill of being able to cook nourishing meals independently is a lifelong skill that will benefit every student. What could be better than giving the gift of being able to cook and share a love of food with these incredible 3rd -5th grade students.
