My 7th and 8th grade students have a ton of energy and huge hearts! They want to help others, and make a difference. They love to collaborate and of course, talk! My students need to learn more about the world so that they can use that energy to take action. Our student body is not as diverse as other schools, so it is important that we provide students with learning experiences that builds connections with cultures, and both local and global issues. Our school is transitioning to a more inquiry based, globally minded, Concept-Based curriculum. I am passionate about this transformation, and committed to cultivating a thinking classroom. I love to dig deep into my own practice as an educator, and supporting other teachers in the quest for deeper learning.
