Our wonderful four year olds are an amazing group of children. The Pre-k program works hard to focus on social and emotional growth. They are a diverse group with all different abilities that work together to learn new things everyday. Our program consists of eighteen students with a teacher and teacher assistant! We like to give them wonderful social skills as well as life skills they will need to succeed. Our curriculum is theme based so the kids enjoy learning deeply about topics. Free play, centers and decision making is all taught in the program. The children come from all different socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures. It is exciting to see all the learning they can do and I'm excited to teach this group for the first time. We focus heavily on learning through play and I love to integrate art into everything I teach. I think that creating and exploring is the best skills a child can have.
