Students will create interactive notebooks for the math content they will be learning throughout the school year. The colored paper is for different types of "foldable" inserts that will be cut/glued in the notebooks, depending on the topic covered for each CSO. The scissors and glue will be needed on a weekly basis. Students will need pencils in order to fill in charts and other interactive notes needed for their notebook project. Some of the folds include tabs for vocabulary, venn diagrams for comparing ideas, and step-book inserts for topics that can be broken down into categories. The notebooks they create can be used in their future math classes. Since Mathematics is a subject that builds on the content previously learned, my students will have access to the prior knowledge they had a hand in learning.
