I have the best job in the world! I start my work day with warm hugs and beautiful smiles from twenty preschool children. They are a diverse group of students who come from all types of cultural, ethnic and economic backgrounds. They are eager to learn and grow. For many, this is their first time attending school and it is very rewarding for me to watch them develop. Despite their varying backgrounds, however, they all share a love of technology. We have an interactive white board that I use every day and it is fascinating to see how much more engaged they are in these particular lessons. Working with one interactive board and twenty children, however, minimizes each child's actual personal one on one time with the board. Consequently, I am searching for ways to expose the students' one on one time with technology. Adding Ipads to our Technology Center would enable children to take turns attending that center and work for a prolonged period of time using Ipads.
