I teach daily social emotional classes on our school's specials schedule. My school has very few resources for teaching these classes, so I have been relying on my own materials. Acquiring these materials will help me deliver quality lessons to students. For many years, I have noticed a downward spiral in student's emotional well being and ability to handle basic social problems and everyday disappointments. I have noticed a change in the way students communicate their feelings. They often don't, or they do so in a negative way. The pandemic has just compounded the issues that we were already seeing. These materials will help me give students the tools they are lacking. My goal is to help students become confident and resilient. I want them to develop the ability to express their feelings and needs appropriately, and have a positive experience at school. Emotionally well kids are going to be more successful students.
