I teach in a title one district in Houston, Texas. This is an inner city school where children at my school are testing the rock bottom lowest in the district in Reading. I strive to build excitement in my students and continual reading growth, especially in their reading comprehension, inferencing, and overall enjoyment of reading as a whole. Many of my students, especially the males, read far below their reading level for 6th grade, so I hope to excite them with some new books that are high interest, comical, and enjoyable!
