My school is located in an urban area, filled with wonderful educators and students! Most of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. They are eager to learn and love school!! I want to make sure my students have the materials they need to succeed. That's why I'm so excited to participate in a pilot program on DonorsChoose.org, an award-winning charity. They are providing a select group of teachers-including me!-with a limited-time classroom debit card that can be funded through donations. This card will help me ensure that every student has a great experience at school. A $20 gift, for example, will buy much-needed pencils for my young learners-but any amount helps.
