Gardening supplies such as a composter, rain barrel, peat pots, and a hose, for this project will allow students to have hands-on activities with edible plants from planting to harvesting. We want to encourage students to care for the environment by learning to tend a garden. We also want to build a sense of community by engaging all students in all grades. We also plan to use a hydroponic system to compare the growing process. We will transplant theses plants into our outside garden in the spring. We will have a compost system to aide with the soil and fertilization, the students will contribute daily to the system. We also plan to use a water collection bin to catch rain runoff for our watering system.
