Using iPads in a classroom is amazing! They allow each child to learn at their level. I am requesting three iPad minis, protective cases and headphones for our classroom. My students will use the iPad minis during all content areas. They will use programs and apps that allow them to listen, read and interact with books. My students will also be using programs for math that allow them to practice their basic math facts, as well as programs that allow them to develop critical thinking skills. Students will use the iPads for research. They will work both in partners and independently to learn to navigate, compare, record and present information. Most importantly, students will become familiar with working on a tablet which will eliminate that obstacle when they are taking state tests and prepare them to use technology in the future. We have the power to provide each student the skills to become successful members of our society. Unfortunately, at our school, we don't have the resources. By helping fund this project, you will be providing a class of second graders the opportunity to overcome significant obstacles and become confident in their abilities in school and in life. Thank you for partnering with me to improve the lives of countless second graders in the years to come. You are helping to change the lives of my students and for that, I am forever grateful!
