I teach first grade at a very high poverty school in Auburn, Maine. This is my first year as a teacher so everything is very new to me. As you can see in my photo, my classroom is a work in progress! The large area in front of the board is where the morning meeting carpet will call home! I have been told the students at our school are wonderfully spirited and eager to learn! Our school is relatively small, with about 400 students total from grades K-6. As of right now, I will have 18 students in my classroom come September.
