My students are a lively and positive group of scholars that make teaching a treasure. Many of my students come from challenging backgrounds and often have more on their shoulders than ever should be expected of them. Amidst it all, they are kids and they never cease in making me smile and laugh. I make sure I am present for every one of my students even if it means staying in at break or making time before or after school. I want my students to know they matter. I want them to know they are important. I want them to know they can do anything. Our school instills great goals on our students, which encourages them to be career and college ready. The entire school comes together each year to open doors to the future for our students by funding college trips and guest speakers. This has shown to motivate our students to want a better tomorrow. I am grateful to be apart of such a supportive and positive family.
