My students are children grades sixth through eighth with Autism. They are a rambunctious group of students who range from verbal to non verbal. Like most young adolescents they enjoy technology without even understanding the benefits of learning with the most advanced electronic devices. They use picture schedules to communicate and for transitioning around the school and in the classroom. This school year they are all boys. My school is a wonderful place to work and our principal is awesome. We are a tight knit group of teachers who volunteer our time and services to academic success. We are Brave, Motivated, and Successful. Our school is Titles I and most of our students are social economically disadvantaged and have the desire but not always the resources to advance academically.
