My students often live in homes that do not have computers or tablets. Their family might have a smartphone, but no other technology that has access to the internet. This puts them at a disadvantage and prevents them from being able to take their learning to the next step. My students need experience on technology to help them be successful throughout the rest of their academic and professional life. We are preparing them to be successful students and life-long learners. These iPads will help give them so many learning opportunities that they may not have otherwise. The sight of a student's face as they discover a new fact or experience is a breath-taking view. The technology in my classroom was lost during the flood. With these items, my students will be able to access programs that help with math strategies, research and create science projects, log in and use interactive Math Science resources and be able to track their progress. The advantages are limitless. This is particularly important for my students as I focus on STEM projects! The use of technology is a crucial part to being successful with STEM challenges.
