This is my seventh year teaching and my first year in Venice, Illinois as a Reading Specialist. We are a Title I school that has implemented a new literacy program. In order to continue our hard work and growth with this program, it is essential to obtain the necessary materials needed to meet the varying levels of every student. Literacy is essential to the development of not only students, but people. It enables both academic and social growth. Through reading and writing, the world and an array of opportunities open up for children and they are more apt to have a positive impact as community leaders both now and in the future. With this in mind, I have created the proposals that are being that you see on this page. During my 6 years of teaching second grade in Brooklyn, NY, I funded fourteen projects that have and continue to impact the students at PS 361. Thank you for any possible support!
