Our classroom is unique in that three teachers team teach together in the same room. The open concept building provides a shared space for us and our 67 students comfortably. A majority of the class has begun kindergarten with some preschool experience. At the beginning of the school year, ages ranged from early entrance 4 year olds to students who enter Kindergarten at age 6, having been held back a year by parents. This range in age results in a wide range of cognitive development. Our math centers need lots of differentiation, which means we need a variety of materials.
