Learning is fun! But, it is exceptionally fun when it is being taught through song, games, and interactive teaching. The schools within my parish has purchased an awesome supplementary software that allows the kids to work on their current academic levels. The tablets will assist with giving more kids a high quality of effective exposure to this software. It will also provide the students with acquiring updated information/data when researching science topics for experiments and projects. So often, students arrive in a specific grade level performing below the expectation. This software fills in those educational gaps and assist with moving the students to their expected academic performance level. The software is 80% auditory as it relates to facilitating the instruction. Which means, each student must listen to the instructions as they are spoken on their computers or laptops. Literacy is a important foundation skill for academic success. That is extremely difficult to do when there aren't an adequate amount of headphones for the students. This is why the purchase of the headphones and tablets are so important to the students within my classroom. Though I teach 2nd grade, many require supplemental assistance for literacy, science, and math that can not be provided one-on-one through daily instruction. Accessing supplemental resources and worksheets to send home is very important for practice and mastery of skills. However, our school does not possess adequate funding for printer ink. Printing the activities as well as sending them home for daily practice is as equally important which is the reason for the Samsung ink request. Please help my students access reinforcing software on their tablets, effectively listen with the headphones, and learn STEM through meaningful experiences.
