Students come to us with different personality traits and goals in mind. However, their learning styles will heavily weigh on their learning and the progress they make each year within the classroom. As teachers, we provide a variety of learning strategies and techniques. I want my students to think differently and in the way that works best for them. I want them to learn in a comfortable environment as well, one that allows movement and a free flow throughout the room. Some students read better laying down or standing up. Some like to complete work sitting under tables with clipboards, while some need to dangle their feet while writing. As teachers, we want to provide our students with the best possible education; however, in order to do that, we need to provide flexible seating so they can learn in the environment most conducive to their learning.
