Middle School can be a really difficult time. Kids are caught between being children and being adults. They don't want to be kids, but they don't know how to handle the many emotional challenges that come along with being adults. Students with special needs are faced with even more challenges. Many of these students know they struggle, but don't want to show that in front of all their friends. The students I teach on a daily basis come to school every day wanting to learn and really enjoy being at school. I go to work on a daily basis knowing that when I see all their faces coming in, I know they will be ready and willing to learn and I am very happy to be one of the teachers that get to have the privilege of teaching them.
