The materials that I have chosen for my project will be geared build student awareness of the importance of attending school regularly. It is always stressed to students to come to school everyday and though we would like it to be an intrinsic there may need some type of reward that can lead to the behavior being intrinsic. What better way than celebrating with popcorn! As a counselor, I teach lessons about future careers and the one employable skill that is mention in my lessons continuously is being on time. With the use of attendance data, I will keep track of grade level or classroom progress to who will receive the "Owlsome Attendance" reward of a popcorn celebration. Most of my students have love for school, but I feel this will give them more encouragement.
